You Tell Me: Friends With Benefits?

What is friends with benefits?

A casual relationship is a physical and emotional relationship between two people who may have a sexual relationship or a near-sexual relationship without necessarily demanding or expecting a more formal romantic relationship as a goal. A casual relationship differs from casual sex, which has little or no emotional element, and different from a one-night stand, as the relationship extends beyond a single sexual encounter.

Juicers, do you have a friend with benefits? What stress comes along with that situation or is there any at all?

Tragedy for Atlanta Housewife star Kandi - RIP AJ!

To say it’s been a rough past weekend for Real Housewives of Atlanta star and former Xscape member Kandi Burruss is a understatement. She had already planned to bury an uncle on Saturday and then came an untimely tragedy on Friday night: a fight in the parking lot of Body Tap Club in Atlanta that claimed the life of her fiance Ashley “A.J.” Jewell.

Atlanta police charged Fredrick Richardson, an employee of the strip club and the man that AJ fought with that night, with voluntary manslaughter, though they, like most people who heard the shocking story over the weekend, are still trying to figure out what exactly happened.

Kandi is featured in the upcoming fall issue of Bleu Magazine - our hearts go out to you girl!

October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

A Few Risk Factors:

Family History: Your chance of developing breast cancer might be higher if you have a close relative (mother, sister, grandmother) who had breast cancer. The risk is higher if that relative developed breast cancer before the age of 40.

Early Puberty: If you went through puberty before the age of 12, this might contribute to a higher risk of developing breast cancer.

Not Having Children: Women who have no children, or who had children after the age of 30, have a slightly higher risk of developing breast cancer.

Obesity and High-Fat Diets: In a number of studies, obesity and high-fat diets have shown to increase the risk of breast cancer.

This October, participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by calling your doctor and setting up an appointment for a mammogram today. Be sure to spread the word to all your friends and family.
